The book is divided into two modules. The first course covers content for the CompTIA A+ exam 220-901 and about the second covers additional content for the CompTIA A+ 220-901.

In the first course, you will first begin with the understanding and installing CompTIA hardware required for CompTIA A+ 220-901. Next you will learn to use appropriate networking tools based on different scenarios. Toward the end you will learn about different domains such as Mobile Devices, Hardware and Network Troubleshooting.

In the second course you will look at how to install and configure an Operating System on a client/desktop, covering a range of mobile and network devices and platforms. Perform common preventive maintenance procedures using the appropriate Windows OS tools and you would also learn to perform the same tasks with other OS.

About the Author

Matthew Bennett is an IT educator and has been supporting networks since 1987. His early experience of computing was as a coder using 8-bit Machine Code, adapting and creating his own homebrew 8-bit games in the 1980s although he worked as a Network professional in the 1990s and later on supported Network transitions from IBM systems to Microsoft NT and later migrations to Domain networks. Matthew became a teacher in 2000 and has been supporting Network classes as well as consultancy for currently 17 years, at the time of writing. He has been teaching A+, Network and Security+ over the past 8 years for FE, apprenticeship and the corporate market.

Matthew is the Director of the Tewkesbury-based IT Training company MBIT Training Ltd. And manages the Microsoft Courses UK website, offering corporate and freelance training as a major market provider. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and works as part of a team of 10 MCTs across the country offering training to corporate businesses, web developers, software engineers, finance / accounting departments and Database developers but his main field is Cyber Security and Windows Server. MBIT Training is a Microsoft Partner, a member of the FSB and actively supports local small businesses through staff training.
