Go – also known as Golang – is an open source programming language developed by Google. Go makes it easy to build simple, reliable, and efficient software.

Go is a general purpose programming language with modern features, clean syntax and a robust well-documented common library, making it an ideal programming language to learn.

Quite a few large companies use Go programming language for parts of their backend software, good examples of those are Facebook, Github, CloudFlare, Disqus, 99designs and many more.

By the end of this course you will have a solid framework for understanding how to use the Go programming language effectively.
