Digital TV Displays (Home Digital Systems Book 3)

This series of publications introduces the reader to the application of digital systems in the home. It is suitable for those with no prior knowledge of the subject, whilst at the same time providing a source of reference for experienced installers who wish to know more about the subject.
This part (part 3) deals with digital TV displays and interconnections. The first section outlines the principles of each type of display, emanating from the original cathode ray tube. The relative advantages and disadvantages of each are listed. Wall mounting is also discussed.
The concept of high definition is then introduced, together with the differences between interlaced and progressive scanning. Full HD and Ultra HD are also described.
The last section considers display interconnections, with considerable emphasis on HDMI connectors. 3DTV is also mentioned
