Per the Microsoft website: Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) is an introductory Microsoft certification for individuals considering a career in technology. MTA certification addresses a wide spectrum of fundamental technical concepts, assesses and validates your core technical knowledge, and enhances your technical credibility.

Passing this exam would definitely be advantageous when looking for a job within the Information Technology field.

The class itself is primarily full of lectures. At the end of each section, I’ve included the corresponding chapter from my kindle book currently on Amazon. and a short quiz to test your knowledge

As far as knowledge, you don’t have to be a database expert but, you do need to know how to operate a computer comfortably and be able to download software onto it. You don’t need to purchase anything for this class, half way through the class we will be downloading a free version of SQL Server Express 2014
